The project was implemented by COWI in co-operation with the Haandvaerksraadet (The Danish Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises), HVRI International and St. Petersburg Foundation for SME Development.

Doing business portal is an entry point to St. Petersburg (Russia) for international SMEs, investors and other parties wishing to trade, outsource, invest and start business in St. Petersburg. The portal was developed as an initiative and with sponsorship of the Danish National Agency for Enterprise and Construction for the Committee on the Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of St. Petersburg Administration. The portal gives advice on 10 steps to start business, benchmark St. Petersburg, costs of doing business, business environment and legal database. The portal also describes investment projects and production facilities in St. Petersburg, provides interviews, success stories, frequently asked questions and hints.
