Annotation

An English version of the main law governing SME support and development in Russia.

This Federal Law is aimed at the realization of the Constitutional right of citizens to the free use of their capabilities and property in business and other economic activity, not prohibited by law.

The Federal Law defines the general provisions in the sphere of state support and the development of small business in the Russian Federation, establishes the forms and methods of state stimulation and regulation of the subjects of small business.

The Federal Law shall operate throughout the territory of the Russian Federation in respect of all the subjects of small business, regardless of the subject-matter and aims of their activity, organizational structure and legal status and forms of property.

The Law provides the definition of a small enterprise and describes the main procedures reguilating registration and operation of small enterprises in Russia.
